DesignTag Reader Software

Description

The DesignTag reader software runs on a Windows PC and processes temperature samples to detect the signal from DesignTag IP cores. The software can process data from a Pico TC-08 thermocouple data logger in real time. When using other temperature data loggers or digital multimeters for data collection the software will process a stored file of temperature data samples in Comma Separated Value (CSV) format.

Customers who purchase this software will be provided with example DesignTag IP Cores for experimentation purposes. These example tags are supplied to all customers and when detected, DesignReader will display them as Algotronix' example tags. Unique tag codes which provide the customer's own details when read are purchased separately.

The software is locked to a SafeNet Sentinel USB dongle which provides security for the tag database, therefore it can only be used on one PC at a time. The software has a one-year subscription license. During the license period the software will be updated from the Algotronix website and the database of tag codes will be kept up to date. If the license expires and is not renewed the DesignTag software will still operate but it will not be updated and it will not be possible to load new tag codes into the database.

This software product does not include the Pico TC-08 temperature data logger which can be purchased directly from Pico Technology (www.picotech.com).
